now, there is no reason why we must jeopardize the success of the Olympics because we have issues with China. China is China, and the Olympics is Olympics. two absolutely different things. so relax, let China have its way with the games. should be fine really. having 5 mascots is a bit... hmm.. unorthodox, yes.. but you know.. at least one is a panda.note really cute kid in green shirt. he spoke Mandarin (i could tell!!!), which means he came from the Mainland. teheee...

astig. they opted for a sentai for mascots. dunno if intentional though. a sentai is a 5-man team in anime similar to Power Rangers or um, voltes 5 i think.
each mascot also stands for an element: water, fire, air, etc. don't really know all of them. they should all be symbolic really.
